Lately the way women have become so dismissive about their positions as a stay at home wife and mother has been on my mind. Many women have come to think of it as a punishment that they have incurred and this is their life. They take no pride in being a woman.<\/span><\/p>\n Recently one of my friends who is a stay at home wife confided that she felt that staying home was boring and degrading. Another woman I recently met pridefully mentioned that her grandma had taught her to never rely on anyone for money and that she needed to earn it herself. The word \u201canyone\u201d in this context was referring to men.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After those encounters I began to reflect upon myself and the inherent differences of a woman who is a stay at home mom and a woman who works and doesn\u2019t have any real responsibilities outside of herself. She may have a boyfriend but she can ultimately live however she wants. Having been in both of these situations I can objectively compare both of the scenarios, and having done so I have come to a startling and embarrassing conclusion on the subject.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n First, pick a person and go down the metaphoric list of how successful you think they are. Are they married or single, professional, do they make money, go out with friends, how much time do they spend at work? Take for instance a woman who has been single for years, who is successful at their job, incredibly professional who makes a good living on her own. Most of her time is spent at work or with her colleagues who ask her for advice, and who even goes so far as to attend training to better herself. This would all make her a valuable professional.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, when she comes home to nobody, or even a for-now boyfriend, the rose colored glasses come off, and her true demons and insecurities can unfold. Loneliness can be an incredibly detrimental thing making her future seem less in focus, and her security in herself falter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Many women may say, \u201cWell at least I don\u2019t have to do (that or this)\u201d, but when there is someone that they can love and take care of unconditionally, women become happier. That may be why they have animals or pets, however only so many women will admit that it truly brings them happiness. <\/span><\/p>\n What makes a woman successful as a mother, a wife, and a vibrant, beautiful woman? What skills must a woman have in order to accomplish this? In order to be a beautiful professional with no one else to take care of it really doesn\u2019t take much. You just have to remember to get your hair and nails done, complete your courses for your career, and pay attention to your work. On the other hand, a stay at home woman has a particular set of skills in order to take proper care of her family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When I had truly sat down to think about all of the things that a woman needs to be in order to be a successful, beautiful housewife, I felt ashamed that I didn\u2019t realize the extent. I now have a much deeper understanding and appreciation for women. This is why women should not have a career, because being a wife and mother is the ultimate career, and by far more fulfilling. I was so embarrassed after my realization because my ego inflated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Single women wearing the pants in a man’s world trying to win, pales in comparison to a woman who is a wife and mother and who is fulfilling her role properly. This woman sets aside her own selfishness in order to serve, but that is the higher calling of a REAL WOMAN.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I hope that this has helped you understand a bit more about everything that a woman should be doing, and gives you more of an appreciation for it. \n<\/strong>She needs to be the persson her husband can come home to and talk to. She needs to be able to listen to the problems he has, understand them, analyze them, and be able to help remedy or advise on the situation at hand. All while maintaining a calm relaxing atmosphere in order to give him a break from the heat of the day.<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>When you go out in public, you can usually tell the difference between a man who picked out their own wardrobe, and a man who was dressed by a woman. The latter usually is more noticeable.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>A mother must teach her children by leading by example and this must be done by nurturing on a strong foundation while allowing her child’s own personality and nature to be prosperous.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Running a household is no small feat. You are making sure that everyone has what they need and gets where they need to go when they need to be there. This means making sure the house is constantly stocked with food, breakfast is on the table in time for everyone to eat, and taking the children to school on time. The dishes are done, and all of the household chores are taken care of. Also being able to delegate appropriately and necessarily in order to ensure that everything is running smoothly.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Cooking a variety of nutritious and delicious meals every day is truly an art form!<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Learning the proper way of keeping house is incredibly important and will make the process much faster, and easier. Learning to do laundry properly in order to not ruin clothes, and to even save clothes that have stains or a tear will also save you time and money in the long run. Taking the extra time to iron clothes so that they will look better and last longer can be one of the biggest challenges to overcome.<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Setting up a home properly so that it\u2019s both comfortable and stylish is a huge challenge. Buying curtains to complement the walls and sofa, and buying pillows with a pattern that doesn\u2019t throw off the color palette of the room can be more challenging to do right than you might think. Not to mention finding the perfect items on sale, or knowing when it\u2019s time to pay full price! People go to school for years in order to learn how to do this.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>A true talent that requires organizational skills as well as insightfulness, she is the one who plans parties, hosts events, and gets tickets to the performance of the new band the kids are interested in this week. She takes them to the event they want to go to and also plans dates for her husband and herself. No small feat.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>When her child falls, she is the one to comfort them and make them feel better. When a catastrophe happens to her husband, she is the one that takes charge and comes up with a solution.<\/span><\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>When errands need to be run she does it in order to ensure her husband is productive at work and can focus on that.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\nAnd Finally – She Also Needs to Take Care of Herself\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n
