The other day I was out shopping and overhead a conversation between two girls. One of them was pregnant and the other clearly wasn\u2019t. The pregnant girl told her friend that she can\u2019t wait for when she gives birth. She elaborated and said she is tired of carrying a child around. Personally, I can empathize with this woman in some aspects. I remember being 8 months pregnant and experiencing some discomfort, but nothing to the point of wishing the experience to be over.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE NEXT DAY, MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO THE FARMERS MARKET AND ONCE AGAIN, I SAW A WOMAN ABOUT AS FAR ALONG IN PREGNANCY AS I ONCE WAS. SHE ALSO LOOKED GLOOMY. IN ALL THESE CASES, WHEN THE HUSBANDS WERE PRESENT WITH THEIR WIVES, THEY SEEMED DISTANT, ALMOST LIKE STRANGERS.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Because of this, I started to question why? In my personal experience, there is nothing more uplifting than looking down at your own belly and seeing it moving in different directions. Up, down, and side-to-side, no matter the movement. Just knowing that there is another human that is being created is breathtaking, to say the least.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Knowing that the universe trusted you with a soul that you would need to usher in life is something that I can\u2019t quite describe in words. You are given the responsibility of bringing a man or woman into the world, someone you can be proud of. You are given an opportunity to unleash your feminine power through birth. Things like this don\u2019t need to be rushed. They should be savored and cherished. Enjoy the experience! Enjoy the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

NOW I POSE THE QUESTION: WHY DON\u2019T WOMEN SEE THEIR PREGNANCY AS A BLESSING? SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL? AS THEIR PURPOSE? WHY IS IT EASIER TO SAY: LOOK AT WHAT YOU\u2019VE DONE TO ME?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Why can\u2019t we just be happy while we are pregnant even if pregnancy can sometimes be challenging? Why do we start to hate our bodies?<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the answers to the posed questions are very easy. A lot of us live in constant denial. We lack the ability to face ourselves. We need to learn things on our own.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why do you think people get pregnant? Is it to have your boyfriend propose to you? Is it to stop your husband from walking out on you? No, my dear readers, no. Before we take on the responsibility of bringing a newborn baby into our lives we truly need to work on ourselves and understand if we\u2019re ready. If you are bringing a life into this world for any ulterior motives, then you clearly don\u2019t understand and are coming from a place of spite and desperation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Nowadays, self-help literature is very popular and people are looking for answers. The problem is that the people who write these books aren\u2019t experts. They are also broken inside in many cases. Women are very powerful creatures \u2013 more powerful than men. However, that power only blooms if we have a grasp on ourselves and what it means to be a woman.<\/span><\/p>\n

ONCE WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN USE THAT POWER TO MAKE OUR OWN LIVES BETTER, AS WELL AS THE LIVES OF THOSE AROUND US, INCLUDING MEN AND OUR CHILDREN. AS THE OLD SAYING GOES: BEHIND EVERY GREAT MAN IS A GREAT WOMAN.<\/span><\/h2>\n

So now I advise you, clean your soul, clean your mind. Clean yourself of all the trash that has been accumulating over the years. Let yourself embrace love. Be loved, give love to others, and yourself. Straighten your values and organize your desires. Prioritize what you truly want in life and go for it. Don\u2019t be afraid of hurdles on your way in the beginning. Once you have a grasp on all this, you will be ready to guide a family through life.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
